Venus

Venus is a Roman goddess of love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory. The pose of this statuette derives from ancient Roman statues of Venus. The figure has lost an object from her right hand, perhaps one of the attributes of Venus such as a flaming torch (symbolic of the fire of love).
