This is a chiraoscuro (coloured) woodcut copy of a Parmiganino drawing in the Louvre, Paris. Andreani was a leading poponent of coloured woodblock printing in 16th-century Italy. This print uses three woodblocks, one with black ink, the other two in shades of olive green.
