Information

Two fragments (mended together) from a large painted storage jar. The jar was excavated during the1922 excavations of the Egypt Exploration Society in House P46.14 in the main city site of Tell el Amarna, described by the excavator as a “good middle class house of a fairly normal type with a courtyard". The jar was found in fragments in 1922 and reconstructed in 2008 but this sherd was not known at the time.
