Vessel

Fragment (sherd) of a red-brown pottery vessel painted with blue flower petals, a design similar to actual floral collars made of blue lotus flowers and leaves which were placed on wine jars at festivals. Piece of wood stuck to the back from a previous exhibition mounting method (Norwich Castle Museum?). CONDITION NOTE (1998): Previous repair, wood adhered to one, adhesive on surface, red paint on bases, surface dirt, chipped, mottled appearance.
