'Votes for Women' Christmas Wishes

Isabel Abraham sent this Votes for Women Christmas greeting in 1911 from her home, 53 Bidston Road, Oxton, Birkenhead, (which you can see embossed at the top). She writes, 'With best wishes for Xmas & the New Year from Isabel Abraham. Xmas 1911'. It is postmarked 25 December, 1911. Even at Christmas time, the movement took every opportunity to promote the cause of Votes for Women. Isabel was the founder member of the Liverpool Student Women's Suffrage Organisation and was active in the Liverpool branch of the WSPU' (Women's Social and Political Union).
