Votive Box with a Snake Figure

Coiled snake figure on top of a small shrine-shaped box that would have held a votive animal mummy. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 32817: Snake mummy box in encrusted bronze, with two rings 2 1/8" long 1 1/8" high ¾" wide. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, Lot 498, 17 December 1924.
