Votive Box with a Snake Figure

Snake figure on top of a small shrine-shaped box that would have held a votive animal mummy. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, holed and spilled. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 105315: MUMMY BOX. Bronze, surmounted with snake. (Incomplete). ½" x 3 7/8" x ½". Egyptian. Purchased for Sir Henry Wellcome by Captain Saint from Pusgal, Cairo. February 1931.
