Walking Stick

A tokotoko (walking stick) with a top in the form of a clenched fist, a human figure on the side, and two beaked faces near the bottom. The surface patterns are haehae (parallel grooves) and ridges with pakati (dog's-tooth notches) on most surfaces, arranged spirally on the central third of the stick. The eyes and other circles are shell-inlaid, and the shell discs have central wooden pegs.
