Carved limestone fragment with raised relief of the hieroglyphic sign representing a seated king holidng a flagellum. The skin is painted red and the wig black.
Marked on the back "PX 6" which is a reference to the 1906 auction sale catalogue of the Rustafjaell collection (Sotheby, Wilkinson and Hodge). Recorded as being from Deir el Bahri. Sold at Sotheby's 1906, 19-21 Dec Lot 56/4 Similar fragments-small seated figure, royal cartouches, heads of gazelles, etc.; Deir-el-Bahri.
