Quillwork wand, bell-shaped panel of leather with quillwork decoration, thin strip of birch bark attached covered with quillwork and small piece of fur at the end. Possibly associated with shamanic ritual. Quillwork is a form of textile embellishment traditionally practiced by Indigenous North Americans utilising the quills of porcupines, and occasionally bird feathers.
