Water Jar

Slender shouldered jar with pointed base and cylindrical neck. Surface coated with a red wash.Water jar of Lower Egyptian type. Some areas are mended and part of rim missing. John Garstang found over 4000 pottery containers at Beni Hasan and created a classification system for the site. This jar appears to match his 'type 25'.
