Wax Amulet

Fragment of resin or wax, coated with gold foil. Roughly circular. Recorded as being 6th Dynasty on the catalogue card but the excavator described similar objects in his excavation report, "on the outside of the wrappings were attached the amulets of blue glazed pottery or of stamped wax" (Petrie, 1900 p. 32).
