Weaving Tool

Appears to be a wooden needle-like stick shuttle. Fragments of fine thread still present at each end. Date uncertain without archaeological context. There is evidence for the use of stick shuttles from the Middle Kingdom (c.1700 BC) through to the beginning of the twentieth century.
