This appears to be a tool used for weaving textiles on a loom, sometimes called a ‘pin beater’. This bone tool was used to push up the weft yarns to create tighter fabric.
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Broken into four pieces, scratched, surface loss, blue paper adhered to fragments.
