Wedjat Eye Amulet

Open work silver wedjat eye of Horus amulet. Suspension loops broken. From Abydos, grave number unknown: excavated by Professor John Garstang for the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology, 1909; assigned to the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology by the government of Egypt; given to Sir Francis Chatillon Danson by the Liverpool Institute of Archaeology; given to the museum in 1977 by the executors of the estate of the late Lieutenant Colonel John Raymond Danson.
