Wedjat Eye Amulet

Green and black glazed faience wedjat (eye of Horus) amulet. Openwork design. Pierced through the length so that it could be threaded and worn. Underside is flat and undetailed. Old label for 56.20.458-462 from history file reads "Amulets - Eye of Horus, Benha (Athribis), Egypt. Presented by the Rev. G. J. Chester. 33.72".
