Wedjat Eye Amulets

Information
Two amulets in the shape of the Eye of Horus (wedjat). One mould-made from faience and pierced for suspension. The other carved from Egyptian blue frit and not pierced. Found in "Roman House 12" at Tanis (San el-Hagar).
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Worn, surface dirt.
From the Egypt Exploration Fund 1884 excavations at Tanis (San el-Hagar), directed by William Flinders Petrie; assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. Donated to the Museum in 1886.
