Stone weight, square shape with rounded corners. Auction sticker stuck to the surface and label "Abydos". CONDITION NOTE (1998): Worn, pitted, surface dirt, label adhered to surface. Purchased by Mr Wilkes for Sir Henry Wellcome at Sotheby's London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor collection) Lot 1098/6: "Three others [Draughtsmen and Mullers], in diorite, granite and hematite; and three Axe-heads, 31/4 in , 3 in and 21/4 in long".
