Jeweller's weighing scale case of rectangular outline, with rounded base, the sliding cover carved in sunken relief with a cross surrounded by roundels and the raised thumb piece with the name “THEO …RO” in two vertical registers, the interior containing a tray cut to receive the balance and weights, with below a plain panel concealing three sunken compartments each with hinged cover and probably intended to hold precious stone.
