Postcard addressed from William John Roberts ("John") to his mother in Liverpool. Writing on verso reads: "6/11/13 I am very busy with 1/2 yearly stocks, so you must excuse brief news, if any. I will be leaving here in May. I am enclosing £2. I forgot to register it yesterday. Let me know if you receive it alright. Love to you all John". From the collection of William John Roberts, Liverpool-born merchant for The Lagos Stores, Ltd. Based in Nigeria, 1912-1914.
