Wig From Composite Statue

Fragment of a cobalt blue glazed faience wig from a composite statue. Slightly convex, glazed on one side dark blue with small zigzag waves. The other side is light blue. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, running crack, pitted, surface dirt. Compare with Musee du Louvre, Paris, N3364; Florence Friedman, 'Gifts of the Nile.
