Wine ewer in the form of a shou character

Wine ewer, in the form of a shou character, signifying good health, long life, and happiness. In the centre on either side is a sunken panel, one of which is decorated with flying cranes and a pine tree in various colours, and the other with flying storks approaching a pagoda situated near a lake. The remainder of the decoration consists of a trellis design in green with yellow centres edged with aubergine, the body being a rich green enamel. The handle and spout are fashioned as bamboo cane.
