Information

Wine jar, of baluster form, with swelling body, straight foot, high contracted neck and spreading mouth. On the body are two moulded tiger masks with rings and two bands of wheel-made rings. Reddish pottery with olive brown glaze encrusted in parts with golden and silvery iridescence. The jar is a replica of the kind of bronze vessels placed in tombs of the very wealthy.
