Fragment of a pottery wine jar with hieratic annotation in black ink, "Regnal Year 36, good (-quality) wine of [...]". If found at Amarna, then the date o the fragment must refer to King Amenhotep III. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Chipped edges, discolouration, surface dirt. Paper label adhered to the inside surface, "The year thirty six. Good wine", handwritten in black ink. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 66527: FRAGMENT OF A JAR Pottery, with hieratic inscription in ink meaning "The Year thirty six, Good Wine" 4 3/8" x 3¾" Egyptian. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 13 November 1928 (Tabor collection), Lot 225 "A "Table of Offerings": a specimen of Mummy Cloth; various Ushabti Figures; a wooden Mask; and other Antiquities, many from Thebes, in large glazed case". This group included ten other fragments of jars with hieratic annotations, one inscribed "The year 39 (wine) of the house of Amenhotep III".
