Fragment of a winged scarab: faience wing with gilding, with only a small part of scarab preserved. The edge of the wing ispierced  with five holes for sewing on to mummy bandages or bead netting placed over the mummy. Mounted on cardboard with handwritten annotation in black ink: "LEFT WING OF 'PECTORAL' OF LARGE HEART SCARAB WITH WINGS..." with a sketch of how it would have appeared when complete. 


CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, surface loss, cracked, adhered to card, remnants of gold leaf.
