Woodcutters in a Forest Valley

Linnell's note on the painting in his sketchbook (held at the British Museum) indicates that he called it simply 'Woodcutter'. It is listed under the year 1850, and has been identified as the work referred to in Linnell's journal entry of 15 March: "Pro[ceded] small wood scene."
