Terracotta dog

terracotta dog figure

Hollow terracotta figurine representing a dog with a collar and a curled tail. There is a hole for ventilation under the belly, which was probably made during fabrication to allow the figurine to dry.

This figurine is part of World Museum's Ancient Egypt collections. It isn't currently on display but you can see other examples from the collection in the new Ancient Egypt gallery at World Museum.
