Archives Centre collections
The Archives Centre has extensive collections of maritime books and documents spanning three centuries. These include one of the finest collections of merchant shipping records in the UK.
You can visit the Archives Centre at the Maritime Museum to see original documents and use our library collection.

Please note not all our catalogues are currently available online. More content will be added over time. The library catalogue of books, journals, serials, oral histories and Lloyd’s publications is not currently included.
When searching the quick search looks at both the title and description field and may bring back lots of results. Use the advanced search to narrow down your search. The number of collection items is not always accurate due to the way the data is pulled through.
