Description: A group portrait by Harrington Company of the 9th Chogyal (or King) Thutob Namgyal (side facing due to his hare lip) and the 10th Chogyal Sidkyong Tulku. Both are seated on a sofa. Behind them stand several important landlords and officials, including Lobzang Choden and Jerung Dewan.
Place collected: Not recorded
Date collected: 1900 - 1914
Measurements: Overall: 350 mm x 427 mm x 17 mm; 13 3/4 in x 16 13/16 in x 11/16 in
Note: Curator's note: This image seems to have been taken several years before the Delhi Durbar of 1911. Sidkyong Tulku particularly, looks several years younger. The location of the photograph has not yet been established, although there is an argument to say that the window panes seen to the right of the photograph resemble the exterior of the palace in Gangtok. Harrington had offices in Calcutta and Darjeeling, so these are also potential sites.
