About this object

I Conception is a Rastafarian magazine which was published in Liverpool. It promoted a belief in equality between races and the maintenance of Black cultural identity. The articles consider subjects such as the birth of civilisation and the inspirations of Marcus Garvey, the leader of the Pan-Africanism movement. On the rear cover is an image of Toussaint L’Ouverture the leader of the Haitian Revolution.
