This photograph was commissioned by 'Building’ publication.

Local photographer Indigo Goat contributed a modern version of this view to the Stewart Bale 2.0 - documenting Liverpool online exhibition in 2006. In 2007 the view changed again with the demolition of the pedestrian bridge across the road shown in the 2006 photograph.
