staff and vehicles in front of showroom on street corner

This photograph shows a sales promotion by a motor company in Camden Street, off Islington. The large banner over the entrance, which the staff are standing underneath, reads 'Singer Distributors' and the names of the other makes of car on sale are displayed above the windows, including Rover, Stevens Light Vans, Riley, Hillman, Morris and Standard.

At the right hand side of the picture you can see the top of the Wellington Memorial, which stands outside the Walker Art Gallery at the top of William Brown Street. Passers by, including a boy and a man in a bowler hat, are captured while looking at the cars.
