Hanging out: Liverpool's laundry life

Ahead of our new display in conjunction with Kitty's Launderette and the University of Liverpool, 'Hanging Out: The Histories of Liverpool's Laundry Life,' we are hosting this fun and informative session for all the family.

Historian and Author Michael Kelly will be giving a talk about the life and times of Kitty Wilkinson, Liverpool's 'Saint of the slums' who was instrumental in pioneering the washhouse movement.

For our younger visitors, we have craft sessions including making dolls out of washing pegs, and a 'zine-making workshop.

Find out more about our upcoming display on the blog.
