Deer and Oak Trees Framed Print

A framed, mounted print of a reproduction of Deer and Oak Trees, Taki Katei (1830-1901) drawing, ink and colour on paper.

This is a detailed, reduced-size sketch recording the appearance of one panel from a pair of screens that the president of Mitsubishi commissioned Katei to produce for an exhibition in Kyoto in 1895. It features the auspicious imagery of deer and oak trees for high salary.

The print has been designed and made in the UK exclusively for National Museums Liverpool.
