What workshops are we charging for?

We are now charging for most of the workshops at our museums and galleries. Charging will be extended to more workshops in the future.

The charge is currently £90 per session (including VAT).

Why are we charging for workshops?

Government-funded organisations such as ourselves have experienced severe budget reductions in recent years. In light of this, we are making changes to bring our schools offer in line with other national museums and city region attractions. Our prices have been benchmarked against other museums to make sure that they offer value for money.

As a non-profit organisation, all funds go back into National Museums Liverpool to support the work that we do. The charges we are implementing will enable us to enhance our current offer and continue delivering high quality workshops in the future.

Entrance to our museums and galleries for schools remains free, and we have a range of fantastic resources and trails available to support teachers who want to lead their own gallery visits too.

How do schools book sessions and pay?

Workshops can be booked online. Payment must be received no later than 30 days after confirmation of the booking. If payment has not been received within 30 days of the booking confirmation, the scheduled booking will be cancelled and sessions made available for other schools to book. For bookings made within four weeks of the intended visit, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

Please note that following confirmation of your booking, changes of dates will be subject to an administration fee of £25. Cancellation fees will be applied to all booking cancellations. Please refer to our terms and conditions.

Payment can be made by BACs, credit card or cheque. Bookings will be subject to the terms and conditions provided at the time of the booking.
