Little Liverpool - early years
The Little Liverpool gallery is a hands-on world especially for children in early years and key stage 1 to play and learn. Inside the gallery our youngest visitors can create their own Liverpool - a city where they are in charge. Little Liverpool has links to alphabet, buildings, Liverpool and wet play topics.
The workshop can be booked on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1.15pm.
Workshop details
This session is facilitated by a member of the Museum of Liverpool's Education team. Each session is 35 minutes in length, and can accommodate up to 32 children plus adults.
Particular gallery highlights include:
- Liverpuddles - This water interactive is based on the River Mersey, surrounded by popular landmarks. Children can sail boats, run dinky cars through the tunnels and fish for pretend marine creatures and rubbish.
- A to Z of objects - Our dock wall features an A to Z of objects chosen by children to represent each letter. Each of these 'letter stations' features an interactive to encourage further investigation and exploration.
Groups may be interested in Winnie the Spider trails, which children can follow around the Museum with adult help. These are available from the Museum of Liverpool's Welcome Desk.
