A perfect complement to a visit to the exhibition Titanic and Liverpool: the untold story at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. These downloadable worksheets offer pupils the opportunity to explore the themes covered in the exhibition, discuss the issues raised and report their findings to their classmates once back in school.
The second floor of Merseyside Maritime Museum is closed from 6 January until 28 March 2020 as we prepare to open Life on board; a new gallery exploring Liverpool’s seafaring history. Titanic and Liverpool: the untold story and the changing places accessible toilet on the second floor are closed during this time.
The nearest changing places toilet is located at the Museum of Liverpool at the Pier Head. Please enquire at the Information Desk or ask a Visitor Services Assistant if you need help with directions.

Many people, both young and old, are fascinated by the story of the sinking of the Titanic. A visit to the exhibition, 'Titanic and Liverpool', is perfect for groups studying this story as part of a history topic or local history study.
Ideally suited to a class size of approximately 30 pupils, the worksheets require children to work in four smaller groups - each based in a different section of the exhibition, finding information and discussing issues raised by the objects that they see. Each group only requires one worksheet, thereby saving on printing costs and paper. Each member of the group can take turns to record findings with the entire class able to share the information they uncovered once back in the school environment.
Notes for teachers on how best to use these worksheets are included in the download entitled 'Teacher's Information'.
