Easter fun at National Museums Liverpool

Hop over to our museums and galleries for some free fun activities during the holidays! William Brown Street is filled with fun activities this Easter. Come along and celebrate Easter early at the Walker Art Gallery with our themed craft sessions (8-17 April) Get colourful and create Easter inspired crafts in our children’s gallery, Big Art for Little Artists. Down the road at World Museum take a look at our collections and get inspired by the objects on display and explore the wonderful world we live in (8, 9, 22 &23 April) Come along to discover everything from the oceans to the stars, and all in between. Head down to the Pier Head to spend a relaxing afternoon at the Museum of Liverpool making and creating things in our Museum crafternoon sessions (10-22 April) use objects from our own collections to be inspired in this craft session. Over the bridge at the Merseyside Maritime Museum we have a series of events to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the tragedy of the Titanic (9-30 April). There will be music similar to what was played on the Titanic, craft activities and stories from those who would have been aboard the ship. Upstairs in the International Slavery Museum you can find out more about the amazing civilisations in West Africa (8 & 9 April) throughout history. Join our craft session to create a crown like Mali's Mansa Musa or your own beautiful Benin Bronze, in this free family activity with a member of our Education team. If you want to head out of town for some scenery we have the best places to visit. Over in the picturesque village of Port Sunlight is the Lady Lever Art Gallery where you can become an artist and take part in an adventure around the Gallery. Explore the Galleries in arty adventures (19 April), looking for inspiration from the collections to make your very own masterpiece. Another great place to visit outside the city centre is the leafy suburb, Mossley Hill where you can take in the sights and surroundings of Sudley House. Grab a magnifying glass and hunt around Sudley House for mini beasts (8 April). Then scuttle inside for storytelling and creepy crawly crafts.
