As part of the ceremony, the
Museum of Liverpool was presented with the first Transgender Pride Flag to be flown above Liverpool Town Hall for Transgender Day of Remembrance, 20 November 2014.

April Ashley with her Citizen of Honour Award
The flag is an important addition to our permanent
collections which will help us to represent and tell the stories of the city’s diverse communities.
Thank you to Liverpool Trans communities, Liverpool Town Hall and of course the inspirational
April Ashley on this remarkable occasion.
