National Museums Liverpool take home the Excellence in Business Tourism Award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2017 We are delighted to announce that we have won an Excellence in Business Tourism Award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2017! In a ceremony held at St George’s Hall, National Museums Liverpool’s corporate events team were recognised for their substantial contribution to the tourism sector by winning the award, which acknowledges the huge importance of the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sectors of Liverpool’s tourism industry. The team, who deliver a wide range of corporate events in our unique museums and galleries, beat off stiff competition from the likes of Tate Liverpool and Titanic Hotel Liverpool to take home the award. Katie Roberts, Head of Events at National Museums Liverpool, said
Winning the award last Thursday marked the end of a successful week for National Museums Liverpool. Staff from the events team spent four days at IMEX in Frankfurt, an international exhibition for conferences, meetings and incentive travel, making links with event professionals from around the world. One of the unique aspects of the events offer at National Museums Liverpool is that all profits generated are returned to our museums and galleries to support the important work that they do. By holding an event with us, clients are investing in the future of our venues, which attract around 3 million visitors a year, from across Merseyside, the UK and overseas, having a significant wide-reaching impact on the Liverpool tourism economy.
