Laura-Kate Draws with an example of her work
Are you an early years practitioner or primary or secondary school teacher looking for some creative professional development? Why not join artist Laura-Kate Draws and the Education team at the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight on Wednesday 15 March, 4-6pm for our Teachers’ view event
Liverpool artist Laura-Kate Draws will be leading a hands-on creative session about how the Lady Lever Art Gallery and its collections can be used during a self-led visit. Laura will also be sharing a brilliant new resource she’s developed which we’d love teachers to see, try and then hear your thoughts about.
"I've really enjoyed creating activities for the new resource. It's allowed me to spend time exploring the Gallery and look more closely at the beautiful collection and architecture of the Lady Lever. I’ve discovered objects and details I hadn't necessarily paid attention to before.
I hope that the activities will allow visitors to do the same on their future visits, whilst also giving teachers some inspirational ideas and support." Laura-Kate
Teachers will be able to explore new resources for schools including our fabulous Chinese New Year zodiac costumes, which have been created as part of our South End galleries
redevelopment project, which was generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
There will be an opportunity to chat informally about how we can support classroom learning and find out how to book a visit to the Gallery. Refreshments will be available. Pre booking is essential. RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org
or 0151 478 4143 before 14 March.
