Frank T Sabin

London art dealer of early English and American prints and paintings

Sabin was a British art dealer with a gallery on Shaftesbury Avenue in London. He later moved the gallery to 172 New Bond Street. As a young man, Sabin had spent a considerable amount of time in America. He was considered 'an authorty on early English and American prints and Americana in general' according to his obituary in 'American Art News' (October 23 1915, p.4). Sabin also wrote for the specialist art journal 'The Connoisseur', including a piece on colour prints in the first issue that was published in September 1901.
