Public collections

Some 350 works by the McNairs are documented, of which approximately half survive, much of it in public ownership. The principal public collection of the McNairs’ work is held in the Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow. The holding is on-line at www.huntsearch.gla.ac.uk. The Walker Art Gallery, National Museums Liverpool, has an important holding.
