Baby's long christening gown of white cotton lawn, fastening at centre back of bodice with narrow cotton tape ties. Bodice, sleeves and skirt all decorated with floral whitework embroidery, swags and bows and cutwork butterflies.

Scallop-edged broderie anglaise hem. White silk ribbon threaded through slots in cuffs and at bottom edge of bodice.

This gown was worn by most of the Tinne children for their christenings at St Anne's Church, Aigburth Road, Liverpool, between 1911 and 1929.
