Bathing cap
Bathing cap of orange cotton sateen, backed with a rubber solution to make it waterproof. Shallow crown gathered into band around forehead, decorated at centre front with three horizontal pleats of cream silk, and at each side with a cotton sateen rosette.
Can be adjusted to head size by means of red woollen drawstring tape at centre back.
Made to match the red-orange wool serge bathing costume and espadrilles that Emily Tinne wore on her honeymoon, which were also featured in the exhibition.
