Join us in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Building as we explore the themes of slavery, colonialism, and imperialism in this series of free ticketed performances curated by NML’s Community Producer, Cherise Weaver.
We will mark Slavery Remembrance Day through a mixture of drumming, poetry, storytelling, football skills and visual Art. With local artists and activists Curtis Watt (Drummer and Poet), Vinny Cleghorne (writer- children’s books), Richard Braithwaite (Silky Skills- Football) and Michelle Walker (Akoma Arts), curated by NML’s Community Producer, Cherise Weaver.
Free tickets are available from the shop at the Maritime Museum.
