Border Force Open Day

Join us for a packed day of family activities linked to the collections in the Seized! gallery at Maritime Museum. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet some of the Border Force teams and discover the fascinating work that goes into protecting our borders at ports and airports across the UK.
 
Step aboard a Border Force Coastal Patrol Vessel in the Royal Albert Dock and see the Maritime Command’s jet skis in action! Join the National Deep Rummage Team as they demonstrate how they search vessels for contraband. Make sure to see those smuggle-busting hero hounds, the Detector Dogs, who will be showing off their sniffer skills for one final time this year. Plus, crafts, face paints and much more on this day of discovery for all ages.
 
Detector Dog demonstrations will take place on the 4th floor of the Maritime Museum at 12noon, 1pm and 2pm.
