Frank's Bench Book Launch

A bench in Mariners' Park in Merseyside is named in Frank Walker's memory. But who is Frank?

Join us for the launch of the book 'Frank's Bench' by local writer, Captain Peter Thompson. The book is dedicated to the six people who died during the attack on blue funnel liner ‘Automedon’ and the role it played in Japan's decision to enter the war. 

The event will have guest speakers from the Marine Society in Merseyside and readings of the book will also be showcased. Refreshments will be provided, followed by music and sea shanty tunes. 

Tickets are free but booking is required to manage capacity.
