As part of the Waterfront Transformation Project, we are inviting members of the public to view preliminary plans of how the historic Canning Dock will be redeveloped. The plans will be presented by the project team at the Museum of Liverpool.

The plans consider how the public space can better serve the surrounding museums and the city into the future. They aim to provide access, inclusion and delight for a wider audience, while communicating with the past in a new and powerful way. Taking in key landmarks, architects Asif Khan Studio, and artist Theaster Gates are leading the design of Canning Dock through a series of co-produced methods with community partners: 20 Stories High, Squash and Writing on the Wall along with The Place Bureau whose remit is to work on approach and narrative.

The proposed plans include:

1. Introducing a pedestrian footbridge

2. Overall enhancement of the public realm

3. South Dry Dock experience

The consultation is open to all and we encourage you to join us.
