Delado Film Screening: Global City Series

This event is part of the A Global City: connections, reflections and exceptions programme.

Screening for the second time, the documentary is set against the backdrop of 1980s Liverpool, exploring the struggles and triumphs of a Black Drum and Dance ensemble. As they carve out their identity through rhythm and movement in their group 'Delado' they confront the tensions of race, culture, and belonging in a changing city whilst guided by Ghanaian dance teachers.

Following the screening, there will be a chance to dive deeper in discussion on the themes and feelings of the film.
